Crafty Secrets New Product Show Off...

Good morning everyone and a happy Monday to you! Today, the Crafty Secrets' Design Team are whipping up some projects using the new stamps and offering up a technique on how to use them. My first project is a little mini album using a journal image taken from the Creating With Vintage Patterns CD. I just love the shabby look of this tag!
SS25 keys to life-WEB
I used the "Keys Of Life" stamp set... releases the end of July and lots of images from the new Mini Vintage Creative Scraps. I will show you all the pages and then give the tutorial on how I did the keys at the end.
I will apologize in advance... I'm not very good at doing tutorials on the blog. So, here goes... this is my tutorial on how I did the keys on the front cover.
1.     Stamp the key image onto cardstock and using a craft knife, cut out the entire image.
2.     Stamp the keys image again onto a patterned piece of paper. Cut out just the pieces that look like  ribbons. Now, adhere these pieces on top of the key image you cut out the first time.
3.    Using Copic markers, color in the keys and key ring using a color blender to blend the browns an grey together until you achieve the look you are satisfied with.
4.    Pop dot the image onto your project.

I hope this tutorial helps... if not, please don't hesitate to ask me and I will help you as much as I can. The look is worth all the cutting... it just doesn't show up in the pictures.

Now, I feel like doing a little giveaway... leave a comment and I will select a winner on Wednesday to receive one of these awesome Creating With Vintage Patterns CD! (Thanks to Crafty Secrets)! I will have another giveaway in the middle of the week too!
I will leave you with a card using some papers from the CD and the new "Vintage Silhouettes" stamp set.
Be sure to visit the other ladies on the Design Team for more great inspiration....

Have a wonderful day...

Tammy
