words of wisdom & top 3...

Well, it was a typical Monday morning... getting up early : ( doing our weekly routine for school. I came back home and did a few things around house and sat down for a little computer time and found that I had made the top three over at the Shabby Tea Room with this card I shared with you yesterday...

This was my first time joining in on their challenges and I thank everyone over there for selecting my card as one of the top 3! 

Up next is a little project I did for Graphic 45 using "Once Upon a Springtime" papers. I found this angel at a local shop and when I saw her, I instantly had an altered project running through my head.  I call her my Wisdom Girl... I printed out several inspirational words and quotes onto cardstock and cut them into strips and placed them randomly on the dress. Now, I will set her in my craft room so I can be reminded of these inspirational words.

Pretty good words to reflect on... huh? Now that I have shared this Graphic 45 project with you, I should tell you March will be my last month as a Design Team member with Graphic 45. I decided not to audition again... such, such a hard decision for me.  I will miss designing for them as they are an awesome company to work with! Good luck to all the ladies that have submitted their auditions!

buttons & bows please...

Hello and happy Sunday to you... hope you all are enjoying this wonderful day! I wanted to pop in and share a quick card I did for yet another challenge. I recently discovered the The Shabby Tea Room and instantly loved it there! So much inspiration... the inspiration for this week was "Buttons and Bows" and using some of my favorite sweet colors.... soft pink, yellow, green and purple. 

I used some paper by Pink Paislee... that was a perfect fit, my ALL TIME favorite stamp set, several different little buttons and some bows.

I personally love the cute little sentiment at the bottom here!

cupcakes & flowers...

today is treat day....

and after putting this sweet little cupcake together... I feel the need to visit my favorite bakery today!

Life is so much happier with cupcakes and sweet treats in them.... for me anyway : ) I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far. This next card has lots of soft pinks and greens. I actually found this paper from Basic Grey buried under a cluster of papers when I did my deep cleaning and I am so happy I found it...

This has got to be my most favorite stamp set right now... from the very talented Melissa! I have used it several times now and I know I will be reaching for it always!

The pink heart is from Prima's new line... they have a lot of new vintage trinkets that are just adorable. One more thing... head over to the Graphic 45 blog and check out some inspiration using May Arts ribbons... there is also a giveaway going on!

lovely colors...

this week over in the Color Room! I loved this week's color palette so much I made a layout and a card...

The purple and green combination is just gorgeous together... makes me think of spring. It was kind of fitting for today... it was 74 degrees here today! I had my windows open in the house and let the breeze flow all through the house for a very refreshing feeling. I know there is more winter weather to come, but oh... how today makes me want Spring to be here now!

happy Valentine's Day...

Hello everyone.... hope you are having a Happy Valentine's Day! I wanted to pop in real quick and share one more card with you before cupid runs away tonight (valentine's day is over)...

I used a different color combo instead of just reds and pinks.... I love the added soft aqua! Gotta run... got a date with the hubby tonight!

shabby heart & treats...

I made this little shabby heart for my Mother... it has lots of sparkle.... just like her! I painted this heart (from Maya Road), sanded it a little to shabby it up...

added some sweet flower trim (also from Maya Road), adhered lots of embellishments on top, wrapped  some scrunched seam binding and topped it all off with some glitter...

and VIOLA... a Valentine box just awaiting a little gift to be tucked inside and given to my sweet Mother! Also for my Mother...

I put together these little Valentine cards for her to give to her customers. Inside each card is a heart shaped Dove chocolate... mmmmmmm 

mmmmmm GOOD!!!

going green...

that is the palette for this week! This color scheme was easy as pie for me as I oh so love the color green. There are three different shades of green with white mixed in...

I used their sketch and this is my take on it. The papers are from Graphic 45 and October Afternoon! I am working on some Valentines stuff but not quite finished... I will share more with you tomorrow.

baby mini album class...

I will be teaching this sweet little album using Graphic 45 "Baby to Bride" paper collection! These papers have been discontinued... but I got my hands on it before it was completely gone and I will now pass them on to you!

It has 4 scalloped chipboard pages (front & back) for a total of 8 pages, it has a lot of sweet little sentiments like the ones you see here...

and here... isn't this little elephant just the cutest!

Well, actually the last page is the very back... it is stitched just like the front and left blank for whatever you choose to use it for.

this sweet image has certainly done just that! Dress it up with a frame, buttons and flowers and... simply irresistible!

It is snowing outside once again... I think I have seen enough of this stuff! (at least for this week) Good things come out of being at home though... my husband hung me a new chandelier in my scrapbook room and I LOVE IT! So, now I am completely cleaning and weeding out things I do not need... needed to do this a long time ago, it just took hanging a new chandelier to get me motivated.
