shabby goodness...

Good morning everyone! Today I would like to share a card  I did for the Shabby Tea Room challenge this week! This week's challenge is basically a "free" week... you get to pick any three in a row and use those elements on your card!
I chose brads, flowers, and ribbon and came up with this shabby little card...
The little overalls are from Maya Road, paper is from Crate Paper and October Afternoon!

I will leave you with another Crafty Secrets sample I did for them...
I used two of their blank postcard chipboards (found in the vintage postcard kits) and tied them together with the ribbon... makes for a cute little card to give to that someone special!

Have a great weekend!

lots of goodies...

for you! First up... the color room challenge for this week. This week's palette was shades of blue and it was a challenge for sure! Talk about stepping outside my box! I am constantly grabbing and working with soft, subtle shades so it was quite different to grab darker shades and blue on top of that...
up next... just a fun little card with a sweet bingo card that is so stinking cute!
Now, if you have not been over on the Crafty Secrets blog... you should head over there! There are some more samples I did for them with their fabulous products... like this one...

Until next time...

sweet treats and a giveaway...

Hello everyone.... today I wanted to share a quick card with you before we approach the weekend. This is also for the Shabby Tea Room challenge... they are having a BIG Birthday bash over there, lots of great inspiration... you should stop by! I stopped in my local craft store the other day and I found the cutest trim... the colors are so soft and irresistible, the pom-poms so sweet... the beads captured my shabby little heart! Well, anyway... I could not wait to use so here it is...
The paper is from K& CO (the top script piece I have no idea! It was a scrap piece and I cannot for the life of me think of who it is from). So, was I right... do you like this trim? If you do, leave a comment and on Sunday one lucky winner will receive a kit with everything you need to make this card (along with instructions)!

Have a wonderful & safe weekend!

Well, it's Friday.... yipppeee!!!!! I have my Shabby Tea Room challenge project for you and this is the inspirational photo...
the challenge is anything green.. and this is my take on it...
I have this old book that has been lying around for quite awhile now... I decided to thumb through it and guess what... there was a chapter named "A Lucky Find" and the page number was 77! Perfect for my little card theme! The image is from Crafty Secrets website, they have this little jewel available for a free download... thank you Crafty Secrets!
An image after my own heart!! So sweet!!
and speaking of Crafty Secrets... you all know how much I love their products, well... they asked me to be their guest Designer this month and I was honored and over the moon excited! So, if you check out their blog you will see some of my samples using their "Blessings" scraps  as well as a chance to win a couple of their new Stamp Sets... which are beautiful (as usual). I have been waiting for a "Mother" themed set and it is finally here... well, in a couple of weeks! Here is one of my cards I did for them...
I bought some zippers a long time ago with the intention of making some flowers... I finally did and I think I am hooked!
There is a lot more inspiration from their Design Team over there too. They have an amazing Design Team... so, so talented!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and thank you for stopping by!

shabby quilt....

Hello everyone... hope you all are doing well. I just wanted to pop in and share a card I did for the Color Room challenge this week. This is the inspiration photo...

When you put these colors side by side, I was thinking... huh? But, isn't that quilt just beautiful! Here is my card (using their sketch)...
I kind of kept with the quilt/sewing theme it reminds me of. I used Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps "Sew Special" along with papers from My Mind's Eye, October Afternoon and Fancy Pants, flowers from Prima and Tim Holtz measuring tape. I also used a couple scraps from "Love Mail" also from Crafty Secrets cut down to the size I needed.
I think it came together quite well. Now, if you are looking for some more inspiration.... head over to the Graphic 45 blog. There are some of my projects featured there today... here is one of them...
enjoy your evening!

some shabby tea anyone....

well, I am back with a second post... WOW... twice in one day! I don't know that will every happen again! I am back with my second week of the Shabby Tea Room challenge. This week's inspiration is red, white (or cream) and black.
Certainly a challenge for me... red and black are not colors I reach for too often. After putting the colors together... they are beautiful!
The papers are from My Mind's Eye and Basic Grey, black and white image is from Crafty Secrets and the frame is from Pink Paislee.

Until next time....   : )
