sweet baby...

Week #63 - Theresa Neubaum, Lenet, Tammy Roberts
The theme for this week's challenge in the Shabby Tea Room is "Sweet Baby" making any baby themed card or project. I am always excited to see the inspiration photos over there because they are always beautiful... but I especially love making baby cards and projects! The soft colors you can use and the sweet baby images and stamps just make me happy! I was so happy I couldn't chose whether to make a girl or boy card... so, I made both! Here is the inspiration photo...
and here is my baby girl card...
The stamp set is from Crafty Secrets... love that sentiment!
The papers are from Sassafras Lass, Webster's Pages bloomer, The Girls' Paperie medallion and Kaisercraft doily. The next card is for a baby boy...
This card uses paper from October Afternoon, fabric die cut from Webster's Pages and stamps from Papertrey Ink and Crafty Secrets. I know I enjoyed the challenge this week... I hope you get to play along! I am off to relax with the family...

good night!

yippee... I'm back!

I am so excited to be up and fully running again! I had to break down and purchase a new computer... much faster than trying to fix the old one. Anyway... let's get to some projects I have to share with you. As you may know, Crafty Secrets is doing a Design Team call... here is a couple of the projects I submitted to them... the first one is a card using "Love Mail" creative scraps and a couple of stamps.
The banner pin and paper at the bottom of card is from The Girls' Paperie.
Next is a canvas album from Maya Road using lots of creative scraps and stamps from Crafty Secrets. I entered this into the Moxie Fab World I'm Sew Excited! Challenge.
I cut some felt pieces to match the size of the album then added some cute little material scraps that I have been itching to use for quite some time now. I love the texture and feel of these pages!
On this page, my favorite thing is the thread card. I stamped the image onto some chipboard, wrapped some jute thread around it and then ran a threaded needle thru it.... LOVE IT!
So, now I will wait and see what happens! School is out here... so, I hope to be here more often! I hope you all enjoy your Memorial Day weekend!

Be back tomorrow with some Shabby Tea Room inspiration!

my oh my....

Hello my friends... I just wanted to let you know that I am not intentionally staying away for so long. My computer was infected with a virus or should I say viruses! Anyway, I am almost there with getting everything up and running again... so I will be back in a couple of days with some projects to share.

See you soon!

blessings to you...

I am just popping in with a quick card to share and hoping your week is being filled with many blessings.
My family is such a blessing to me... I thank God for them everyday and for keeping us all in good health.
I decided to keep this card simple tonight.... that is what is on my mind... the simple things in life. Which is also the way this post will be... simple and not much to say. So, that being said.... good night and until next time my friends.

ooooh, of course... the papers are from The Girls' Paperie, Creative Scrap from Crafty Secrets, buttons and sentiment from PTI.

ruffles and more ruffles...

that is the fun challenge in the Shabby Tea Room this week! I unfortunately, did not get to play along last week do to Mother's Day and some other things... my first week missed : (

This is the beautiful inspiration photo...

ooohhh my... that cake looks divine! But, cakes are not the theme for the challenge... it is the ruffles on that gorgeous cake. If you can't have a cake, what will do.... of course! A cupcake!

A cupcake made from ruffles... the ruffles are from a Melissa Frances flower. I disassembled each ruffle and pieced them together to form the frosting on my cupcake.

Then, I also made a ruffle out of some crepe paper to add to the bottom of the card...

Such a fun card to make... and very fitting because today is my daughter's Birthday! So, off I go... there is more celebrating to be done!

Oh, be sure to stop by tomorrow in the Shabby Tea Room and here... I have the honor of Guest Designing with them!

finally.... pictures of class

First of all, I am so sorry it has taken me this long to get the pictures up on the blog. I have had the album done for a couple of days now but, the months of April and May are wearing me out! Seems like all year long school just slips by then the last few weeks are so hectic with field trips, homework and activities! Throw in Mother's Day and Birthdays and a class.... whew.... I am ready for school to be out and revert to what I call my "Summer" hours... go to bed late and sleep in!!!!

Okay, enough with all that... I really did enjoy putting this little album together for my class over at Scrapbook Generation. Being that I am no longer on the Design Team for Graphic 45 (sometimes I do regret not trying out again : (  I decided to do a mix of paper lines and just have fun with it...

The papers include Fancy Pants, Cosmos Cricket and My Mind's Eye along with some images from the ever so talented Janet (I asked for permission to use these for my class - and she said YES)! The album is from Melissa Frances... the large Envelopes & Tags album.
Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to show you each page. There are 5 envelopes with tags for a total of 10 pages. Each tag is stamped at the top with twine and jute ran thru the top. This album is for that special little girl in your life... it lets her know just how you feel about her.

If you want to sign up for this class... just give Scrapbook Generation a call! Hope to see you there.

Good night,

a mother's love...

I know Mother's day isn't until Sunday... but my Mom has literally been on my mind all day today. I have had that lump in my throat that feels like you want to cry but you just try to hold it back. She is the sweetest, most kind hearted person in the world and it just breaks my heart to know as Sunday approaches her heart is very heavy and broken inside. I can't even begin to know what it is like to lose your child let alone two of them. I know the hurt of losing two brothers... I miss them dearly every day... so, I can only imagine how my Mother must feel and what emotions Mother's day must bring for her. She tries to be so strong... alway thinking of others before herself. She is my life and I do not know what I would do without her... I love her more than words can describe and I wish for her peace, comfort and love this Mother's day.

Here is a card I made with her on my mind...
The image is just perfect for Mother's Day... don't you think? It brings back memories of your childhood.
I ordered the new stamp set from Crafty Secrets "A Mother's Love" a few days ago... I love this set ... I was so excited when I opened my mailbox today and there it was! Perfect timing!!!
The sentiment that came along with the set is just beautiful and was just what I wanted to say to my Mother. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this set. The papers are from My Mind's Eye and Melissa Frances. The image is from Made by Janet.

I hope all you Mother's have a wonderful weekend and a very Happy Mother's Day.

If you are waiting for the pictures of my class at Scrapbook Generation in May... I am putting the last finishing touches on the album tonight and will have them posted tomorrow or Sunday!

Thank you for your visit.
