hearts of texture...

Hello friends... tonight I am sharing a card with you that I am entering into the Textured to Perfection Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.
First, I have a layer of paper, then a transparent die cut (for a clear matte texture), some vintage seam binding, a felt rose.
Then, I added a heart cut from burlap with some paint on the edges, a heart cut from some fabric (I fell in love with this vintage book print fabric... stocked up!) and lastly, a resin heart from Melissa Frances that has been misted with my new favorite color from Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.
If that wasn't enough, I added some vintage pearls cut from a necklace I found at my local flea market.
So, this is my take on a textured project... lots of fun. I have been meaning to pull out the burlap for quite some time now and I'm very happy this challenge made me do that... you may see it in the next few projects so I hope you like it.

Time For Another Giveaway!!!!

This one is going to be done a little differently... I'm not going to show you what you will be receiving in this fabulous giveaway!!! You just have to leave a comment and find out on Thursday evening!!! I will tell you... it is bigger than the last giveaway :)

good night...

crafty secrets design team gift bag/envelope challenge

Happy Monday everyone!! The Crafty Secrets Design Team Challenge this month is a fabulous one! We are making gift bags out of envelopes!! I must tell you... once you try making one, you will be hooked! They are so easy and fun and you can use any envelope, any size to make an adorable little bag.
I used a pink square envelope...

We all have a theme and mine was "Baby" and you know how much I love anything that has to do with babies! I made the gift bag along with a matching card. The cute paper is from the Creating with Vintage Patterns Cd.
I used a border punch from Martha Stewart to make a pretty border across the top and used some tulle for decoration instead of tissue paper and I had some old gift bags that had these handles on them... I took them off and put them on mine!!!!
I used these stamps for the sentiment and the sweet vintage stroller (I stamped and then cut out), Baby Girl Stamp Set and Vintage Postcard Kits ~ Baby Girl.
The border at the bottom of the bag is also from the Baby Girl Stamp Set. I used some Copics to give them some color.
And now for the card... it uses the same papers and stamp sets to match the gift bag except, I used the cute little stork image (stamped and cut out).
There you have it... a cute, inexpensive way to create your own gift bags. Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team... they all have a different theme for you!

And here is a link to a video tutorial on how to make the bags... easy peeeesssy!!!

to me you are...

I made it back tonight... I'm so proud of myself!!!! Two back to back posts!!! Why? Because my sweet little blog readers are beautiful to me and I don't want to you to stop visiting here because I am not sharing as often as I should. Life may get in the way but, that is no excuse... just got to keep going and make every minute count. With that being said... I took a little break from the fall colors and brought out some beautiful paper from Prima and a little image from the Mini Vintage Creative Scraps by Crafty Secrets.
Other goodies used are some cotton twill ribbon, vintage buttons, vintage lace and a dangling, clear charm from Maya Road.
Some flower lace by Prima, soft pink pearls and the "Beautiful to Me" die cut is from My Mind's Eye. Sigh... I adore the angel image.
I'm going to be short... I just wanted to let you know that I do enjoy each and everyone of you stopping by my little blog and I do hope that you enjoy your visit here... to show you how much, stop by tomorrow for a sweet little (well, not really little) giveaway. I think you might like it :)

lovely...

Hello friends... it is a beautiful fall day here although, it almost feels like summer today! It was a warm day but a big change takes it's course tomorrow evening with some very chilly days and nights... I'm so ready! So, tonight I am sharing a card with you that I actually was making for The Shabby Tea Room challenge this week until I realized that the deadline to submit was 6 pm and for some reason I had midnight on my mind... must have had a "brain freeze" for awhile! I decided to keep the color scheme and make it an every day occasion card rather than the fall theme...
I love the violet and yellow colors together... just makes me happy! I used some K&Co and My Mind's Eye paper along with a card that some buttons came on from My Mind's Eye.
The pretty vintage seam binding can be found here, that is where I get just about all of my seam binding. The flower is by Jolees' Boutique.
I used a piece of resin frame from Melissa Frances that I had broke and thought it would work perfectly along the bottom, added a snippet of Prima lace and the "YOU" sentiment if taken from the Angel Blessings Stamp Set.

I tried most of the evening last night to publish this post and for some reason... don't know if it was my connection or just blogger issues but, finally this morning I was able to do with no problems. I am not changing any of the wording to fit what day it is after typing it so many times last night! But, good Monday morning to you now!!!!

Might be back later tonight... if not, tomorrow.

fall happiness...

I will start by apologizing... I do not stay away so long on purpose, I really do miss you all! I find myself running all day long and wanting to call it a night earlier than usual... I promise to do better. Tonight, I am sharing a quick fall card. Today was rainy, slightly cooler, windows were open to feel the breeze, the leaves are falling to the ground... just a perfect fall day.
The papers are from My Mind's Eye, lace by Prima, rhinestone chain by Pink Paislee and the adorable image is from MadebyJanet... can't get enough of these cuties!
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and then I added some vintage seam binding and button.
I hope you are enjoying your fall days and evenings... I'm enjoying my evenings way to much with smores!!! I am working on a couple of Crafty Secrets projects that involve envelopes... we will be sharing them with you soon.

an autumn post...

I am finally here to post a couple of cards using some fall colors! I just love this time of year... as everyone does I do believe. I am pressed for time... so let's jump right into the projects.
The first card uses an image from MadebyJanet... so sweet!! Papers are from My Mind's Eye and a little piece of book paper, wrapped some vintage seam binding around the card, stamped the sentiment from Papertrey Ink, added a snippet or two of lace from Prima and vintage button and little flower to complete this card.
love, love, love these colors!!!
Next up, is a card using a image by Crafty Secrets from the Halloween Image & Journal Notes Booklet... if you need some sweet Halloween vintage images for your card or projects needs, you will want this booklet.
I lightly stained a piece of doily to match the little girl's dress, stitched a heart and cut a Melissa Frances resin frame.
Papers are from... yes, you guessed it... My Mind's Eye as well as the banner strip. The itty bitty pumpkin is from Papertrey Ink.
Have a wonderful evening... until next time!
