christmas cards & tags class...

*****Edited to let you know that I have four kits left over from my class last night! I have added them to my Etsy store if you are interested in them! They are ready to ship... no waiting!!!!

Okay... seems like forever since I have been here on the blog but, I am back and I hope you have a cup of tea, coffee, soda... something, because I have lots to share with you today. First, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving... I did and really needed and enjoyed my time with the family. We snuck off and spent five whole days together! Now, it is Christmas mode and I am kicking it in... I have the tree up, stockings hung, wreaths hung and now my Christmas card class projects done... here they are!
You will make all these projects for only $15... if you love vintage/shabby you are going to love this class. It is packed with the cutest images (found here) and lots of sweet sentiments! There are four different cards (varying in sizes), a gift card holder and a gift tag. Now I will show you each one in a close up, consider yourself warned... lots of photos!
The gift tag uses some Melissa Frances, vintage ticket, pom-pom trim and a cute little clothes pin at the top.
The gift card holder is one of my favorites... another clothes pin and little tag.
I just adore this sentiment... not to mention the image too!
and this one too! I could not resist using a red heart shaped doily on this one because it goes with the sentiment I chose... who says hearts are just for Valentine's Day?
Last but, not least... this sweet little girl with another favorite sentiment. Okay... I LOVE ALL the images and sentiments and if you do too this class will be on December 6th at 6pm at Scrapbook Generation click on the link, grab their number and give them a call to sign up!
For my blogger friends... if you are interested in a kit you can drop me an email or check my Etsy shop as I will have a few in there too!

Have a lovely day!

tea with crafty secrets...

Hello friends... I'm back today with another project taken from the Creating With Vintage Illustrations Cd that will be available for purchase Friday, November 25th. I told you how much I adore the templates on this Cd well, this is why...
Is this not the cutest little tea pot? These would be so adorable at any tea party as a place sitting card or just setting all around the table. There is also a matching tea cup template too.
I cut a doily in half to make it look like there was a doily under the tea pot.
The beautiful paper is also from the Cd... as well as the butterfly paper! I stitched around the tea cup and added my favorite embellishments and there you have it... a sweet little tea pot fit for any princess!

See you tomorrow with some more from the Cd!

Crafty Secrets CD #2 preview...

Good Monday morning to all of you! Today I have some exciting news to share with you! If you loved Crafty Secrets Creating With Vintage Patterns Cd well guess what? They are releasing another Cd called the Creating With Vintage Illustrations... here is a peek at the front cover.
So, all week long the Design Team will be featuring projects on their blog using papers, templates and images from the Cd. I loved the first Cd but, I think this one is my favorite of the two! It has so many beautiful papers as well as images but, my favorite are the templates... they are a must have in any digital collection! The one I will show you today is a house template, you can simply run it off on some cardstock, then cut, fold, score and glue and you now have a cute little house that can be used as decor for just about anywhere and makes a great little gift. I decided to print mine off on to some fabric and make ornaments.
They were so easy and fun to make! The house image is already perfect with the colors so, all I did was add some trim, some vintage seam binding and I could not resist adding a little burlap heart in the center.
The hearts are using another one of my favorite... the rose images! I see using them on just about anything... sigh!
Again, easy... just cut them out into a heart shape sew (I used some cute matching shabby blue fabric for the back sides) add some jute string, felt rose, lace tidbit, and a stick pin with a button ran thru it!
The Creating With Vintage Illustrations Cd will go on sale Friday, November 25 on the Crafty Secrets Website and you can also go to the Heartwarming Vintage Blog to read more about it and some other exciting news.

So, this is my project... make sure you go check out what the rest of the Design Team has waiting for you! Below is a link to each of their blogs and remember, check back everyday this week as I will have something new each day to show you!

Have a beautiful day :)

heartfelt blessings...

Hello friends, I have a couple of cards for you today. They both use some of my favorite Crafty Secrets products. The first one has a sweet image from the Love Mail Creative Scraps.
The papers are from My Mind's Eye, the little heart is from The Little Pink Studio, the letter stickers are from The Girls' Paperie and My Mind's Eye.
The next card focuses on Thanksgiving... something I am looking forward to. The gathering of family along with all the food... awesome!
I used an image from the Seasonal Image & Journal Booklet and the sentiments are from the Thanksgiving Set that has been discontinued, so I am not sure if it is still available for purchase. I have it and I will always continue to use it at this time of year.
Well, I have to run... out of time! Yep, you guessed it... basketball game! Talk to you soon!

Thanks for visiting!

a winner & simplicity...

Good Monday evening everyone! I am back with the winner of a fabulous prize package... her name is Tamara DeCoito!!!!! Tamara, email me with your address so I can get your big box of scrapbooking goodies out to you.

I also have a card to share with you that will go in Tamara's box. I tried something simple... no paper just some shabby material, vintage buttons, tidbit of vintage lace, piece of doily and my sentiment... from Papertrey Ink.
I'm trying to decide if I like it enough to try it again... almost seems too simple for me and as much as I love the fabric, I am lost without my paper.
Once again, I thank all of you for your sweet, kind comments and we will do it again one day this week. Until then, I hope your days are filled with joy and happiness!

wishes & another giveaway...

That is what I"m expressing to each of you today. I apologize again for being away so long... I wish I could freeze time and stop everything that needs to be done to make time to create and blog everyday. Unfortunately, life does not work that way. Don't get me wrong, I love what is taking up my time... family! I would not have it any other way. It is basketball season again which means I will be on the road to the games cheering my daughter on (we have a lot of away games this year). So, I will do the best that I can to squeeze in some creating and posting time. We will start with this one...
This card has sentiments from the Grand Greetings Stamp Set and Mini Vintage Creative Scraps both from Crafty Secrets. I lightly sprayed the doily with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist... Vanilla Breeze.
The paper is from Prima and Fancy Pants along with some vintage buttons, lace and a flower.
I actually have been doing some creating this week, but we can't show you just yet... maybe next week. Crafty Secrets is getting ready to release their new Vintage Cd #2 and the Design Team has been busy preparing some samples for you and I think you are going to love this Cd... I know you are going to love this Cd (I think it is better than the first one... and I LOVED it)!

Have a great weekend and before I leave.... I have another surprise giveaway!!! Just leave me a comment on this post and I will pick a winner on Monday. The last winner was shocked at all the goodies she received so, I would not hesitate to leave a comment... the prize is only getting bigger because I want more room in my crafting space!

gratitude journal class...

Hello friends... for those of you awaiting my photos of the Gratitude Journal class I will be teaching on November 15th... here you go! I will warn you... there are a lot of photos!
The book covers are from 7Gypsies (5X7) and all the papers are from the Generations line by Simple Stories. We will be sanding, stitching and inking as well as some other fun little things.
This little book is filled with so many places to journal and jot down things you want to remember with lots of pockets to tuck them into.
One of my favorites are the little burlap hearts... there a plenty of them too!!
Another favorite... this vintage print brown paper bag folded and stitched into a pocket to hold more memories.
There are 15 lined journaling pages divided into three different sections.
Another brown paper sack (love the dots) inserted to tuck "this and that" into!
One more brown paper sack for the recipe section... you can tuck your favorite recipes into the pocket and then there are a few blank cards for you to jot some down.
Sorry, for all the photos but, I wanted you to see that it is jam packed with lots of cute details and yes, there is machine stitching on the pockets that will be done for you (and anywhere else that you see machine stitching). If you are interested in taking the class, just give the girls a call at Scrapbook Generation a call... again, the class will be November 15th at 6pm.

Have a great day!
