a couple of things...

Do I have your attention with this cute little Christmas image??? Ok, then keep reading!! Hello my friends! As it is getting closer and closer to Christmas day it seems like there is more and more to do... not complaining, I love this time of year. It just means it is harder and harder to come to the place I love to share and visit... here of course!
I woke up early this morning to whip up a couple of projects using some Crafty Secrets goodness. First up, a little gift bag I am going to give to my Mother (with some fun stuff inside). It uses a sweet little image taken from the Merry Christmas Double Sided Creative Scraps .
The sentiment is from the newest Christmas stamp set Winter Wishes, which is on sale! In case you have not heard, Crafty Secrets is going digital which is why just about everything is on sale (The Creative Scraps are not on sale).
I used some diamond dust on her hat, bottom of dress and the little hand warmer... not sure exactly what that is called. The paper is by The Girls' Paperie and other products used are: vintage bottle cap, Prima lace, pearls, Melissa Frances die cut and a few things from my stash.
Next up, is a card...
It uses another cute little image from Crafty Secrets taken from the Christmas Images & Journal Booklet... also on sale! The sentiment is from the same stamp set as above (Winter Wishes).
The image is oblong when tore out... I cut it in half and stacked them on top of each other to make it the length I wanted and still use the pretty writing.
Paper is by My Mind's Eye... that is it for today! Have a wonderful weekend.....

the magic of christmas...

Good morning everyone! Today I am excited to be Guest Designing with the Shabby Girls over in The Shabby Tea Room. I am particularly excited about this challenge because you get to use pink as one of the colors! Take a look at the beautiful inspiration photo...
They asked us to use pink, gold, neutrals and snowflakes... pretty good combo! Based on this photo, here is my project...
I used some pretty pink paper from Glitz, a Christmas song from an old hymnal and a gold frame. I found the cute little snowflakes in a jar I have... not sure where they came from.
You can find the little angels here. I lightly sprayed and inked her just a bit (Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Vintage Pink).
And there you have it, a pink Christmas! I hope you get to play along... make a project using the top inspiration photo and link it in The Shabby Tea Room... would love to see what you come up with!

Thank you girls for allowing me to Guest Design with you this week!

on a cold day...

why not stay inside where it is warm and cozy and make something that warms the heart. That is just what I did today... knowing there is lots of other things I need to be doing :)
I grabbed some of my favorite digital downloads from Made By Janet and these little vintage frames that I have had stashed back for awhile and came up with this ornament. It has some vintage dictionary paper as the background... I just LOVE my little book I found at my antique store!
Other stuff used is some vintage lace, pearl heart, vintage button and some ivy leaves. I was going to put a few of these in my Etsy store but, I'm not sure... may have to keep for myself! Okay, just kidding, I will put a few up and there are so many cute images from this sheet, I think I might make a few different ones.
Next, is a little card for you...
It uses a digital download from Beatriz Jennings which can be found here... another source of sweet little images! The paper is from The Girls' Paperie... last year's line but, oh how I still love it!
The resin frame is from Melissa Frances as well as the Christmas banner ( it was actually a circle die cut and I cut it into a banner).
I hope this post warmed your heart... and you enjoyed your visit. Please come back tomorrow as I will be Guest Designing with the Shabby Girls over in The Shabby Tea Room this week. I will tell you this... it is a pink Christmas tomorrow!

lovely time of year...

Hello friends... hope this Thursday evening finds you doing well. I feel the need to apologize tonight, I woke up early this morning and got a lot of things done on the "to do" list and planned on coming home to create a few projects to share with you tonight but, as I was heading home it was as if some kind of force took over and I found myself turning to go to my favorite antique store! I must say, I am glad I ended up there because I found some wonderful antique goodies... some to create with, some to decorate with. So, I only had time to do one project before it became too dark to take pictures outside (that is where I choose to take my pictures) hopefully it will do until the next visit.
It features lots of goodies from the Melissa Frances Deck the Halls collection. I had a scrap piece of music paper (taken from an old hymnal) from the song Away in the Manger... perfect for the image used... huh?
I simply added a doily behind the sweet little die cut, added some of the usuals you find on my cards and there you have it... a quick and easy card ready to give out for Christmas!
That is it for tonight... thanks for visiting!

P.S.  If you are interested.... there are a couple of kits of the Christmas Cards & Tags that I mentioned in the post below in my Etsy store.
