Package of fairies...

Yesterday, I felt like it was Christmas in June! My sweet mail lady rang my doorbell and had four packages for me (three of them all mine, filled with crafty stuff)! One of them was a surprise package from Sandy, the owner of Crafty Secrets.... oh my heavens!!!!! It was the new stamps Pixie Dust and Fairy Wishes! I had my eye on these adorable sets... THANK YOU Sandy!!!!!

So, I had to pull them from their packages and make something right away...
The sentiments are just the sweetest, the fairies... adorable and of course, I love butterflies.
The flower is made from zipper ribbon.
I stamped the large butterfly, with some green ink, onto some paper from a vintage book and added some pearls in the center.
This was my favorite sentiment but, they are all fabulous! The image is taken from the Little Dolls Image & Journal Booklet. Included in the package was the new Creating with Vintage Typography CD #3... I can't wait to play around with it too.

Again, thank you so much Sandy!

A little hello...

Hello friends... sorry, I have been a way for a few days. It is summer time, kids out of school, softball leagues so, I probably will not be able to post as often as I would like. I do have a little card for you tonight, using one of my favorite flower dies from Sizzix. I hope you do not get tired of seeing this little jewel. I find myself reaching for it constantly... I try to slap my hands and tell myself do something else! Maybe next time...
So, follow along if you would like to make your own shabby little flower card! Using the Fringed Flower  die, die cut the big flower from felt, medium flower from vintage book paper and two small flowers - one from felt, one from lace or fabric. Using the Flowers with Leaf  die, die cut two leaves from patterned paper. Layer and adhere the flower as shown in photos.
Using the "Bingo" digital download, found HERE (Beatriz Jennings' beautiful Etsy Shop), cut out image and adhere a 3/4" strip of patterned paper across the top and a 1/2" strip of patterned paper across the bottom. Using a corner edger, punch the upper and lower right corners. Stitch around card and zig zag stitch along the bottom edge of card (see photos), adhere this piece to your card base (cardstock)... don't forget to punch your corners out on your card base too! Adhere a strip of rick rack along the top of card.
Adhere the leaves to the flower and adhere in the center of card. Adhere a crown sticker in the center of the flower, add pearls. Using the Tiny Tabs & Tags die,  die cut tag (see photo) from cardstock. Stamp sentiment onto tag and attach to flower using a mini safety pin. From fabric tape, cut about an 1 1/2" piece, make a "banner" cut at one end and adhere to flower. Add button the button and bow... you are done!
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Have a beautiful evening and thanks for stopping by!

Diamonds are a girl's best friend...

is the theme that Fran, our host this week, has chosen for us in The Shabby Tea Room. She has picked out this beautiful inspirational photo...
Photo inspiration #119
and asks that we create a project/card using the colors in the photo as well as pearls and crystals. Sounds fun.... right? Well, it was for me! We have two sponsors this week...
Meljen's Badge
Sponsor #119 (2)
On my card, I have used the Sweet Lace Heart from Meljen's Designs and Antique Paper from Digital Paper.
I ran the heart image off onto some shimmer cardstock and then cut it out, added some pearls and a Prima flower.
Added a rhinestone/crystal heart...
stamped my sentiment and there you have it, my card based on the gorgeous photo!
This challenge is a lot of fun... I hope you get to join in and play along this week! Stop by The Shabby Tea Room blog to check out the fabulous prizes for the lucky winner of this challenge.

Spreading a little love...

Hello everyone! We have another challenge for you at the Frilly and Funkie challenge blog. Linda is our host and has picked this inspirational photo for us for the challenge...
Based on the photo, here is my card...
I must say, when I saw these colors, I thought to myself... this is most certainly going to be a challenge for me! After pulling everything together, I LOVED IT!
The papers and image are from Pion Designs, green polka dot is from My Mind's Eye.
I stained the doily lace with a perfect yellow and then stamped my sentiments. You can find most all of the items I used in Linda's Zibbet shop, The Funkie Junkie.
So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to the Frilly and Funkie blog to see what the other Designers have made and to see what fabulous prizes are in store for the winners of the challenge!
