Sweet Strawberries...

Hello again! As promised, here is the Sizzix inspiration! I have some sweet strawberries for you using the cutest die EVER... the Strawberry Box Pro Die. I know we are swinging into fall but, I am just now getting to use this die and I had to share them with you, as well as the tutorial.
To make the strawberries, using the Strawberry Box Pro Die, die cut two strawberry bases from patterned paper and two leaves from green felt. Assemble the strawberries boxes following the instructions on the die packaging. I stitched around the leaves and the tops of the strawberry bases.
Cut a small hole in the middle of a doily and attach the doily to the top of the strawberry by threading the jute string thru the hole. Attach the felt leaf the same way.

Using the Flowers, 3-D #2 Pro Die, die cut two of the smaller flowers from wool felt. Assemble the flowers and adhere to the leaf center (make sure you have your strings pulled out to each side for tying). Add lace tidbit to the center of flower, adhere pearl button in the center.
Using the Tiny Tabs & Tags die, die cut two of the big tags (I trimmed them down just tad and used a corner rounder on the ends). Stitch a piece of lace to the bottom of tags. Stamp sentiments and add heart buttons. Thread the tags onto the string, wrap around the flower and tie into a bow.  Adhere a couple pieces of washi tape underneath the felt leaf as shown in the above photo.
There you have it.... these would make awesome party favors or just a cute little gift for that someone special!

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I enjoyed making them!

Frilly & Funkie Challenge...

Hello everyone! There is a new challenge for you at the Frilly and Funkie Challenge blog. Linda is our host and has chosen a nature theme for us. Here is complete details about the challenge...

Challenge Theme:  The Great Outdoors - The heat of the summer is starting to break here in the States.  Let's celebrate being able to get out side and enjoy the fresh air by making something with an outdoors theme.  Required ingredient is that you must include a quote about outdoors/nature.

I will go ahead and admit to you that I might have failed at this challenge... I think I scratched my head way too long and over thought this one.

It is a fun challenge.... just don't over think like I did (come to think of it, I didn't have my large Iced Caramel Macchiato that day). You can find links to the products used below.

Have a fabulous day!

A {Labor} of love...

is our theme this week in The Shabby Tea Room this week, brought to you by Debbie (our host). She has this sweet little inspirational photo for us...
Photo inspiration #130
Debbie asks that we create a project/card using the colors in the photo and a banner. We have two sponsors this week. Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and Paper Sweeties.
I used the I Heart U Digital Stamp... on of my personal favorites. So, I know I am missing some blue from the photo (actually, the background paper has some of the lighter blue in it but, it did not show up in the photo do to the remnants of hurricane Isaac... dark, cloud & rainy for two days equals poor picture quality). See that jar with the pink candies in it? Well, that is what inspired me to choose the paper that I did.    : )
I printed the I Heart U Digital Stamp onto some patterned paper, cut the words apart and them shaped them into a banner. Added a pink crocheted doily, shabby little heart and a few little embellies.
Fun challenge... I hope you get the chance to play along in The Shabby Tea Room. Check out what the other Designers have created too...

Have a fun, safe Labor Day!!!
